At last I had the luxury of time to update this blog. Compared to last week, I can now work in front of the PC not feeling a strained eyes without my eyeglasses on. Last week I think it was the worst. I could not sit in front of the PC for long. I had to rest from time to time because my eyes are so painful. I have noticed they aren’t of the same degree of pain. My right eye is more painful than the left. I just realized that my eyes are not of the same grade. My right eye is nearsighted while the left one is farsighted. My ophthalmologist had to check my eyes numerous times before I was detected with literally dual vision eyes. I was almost convinced that the headache I suffered was due to the eye strains and need to go to my optometrist again to change glasses. But since I am feeling better now, I guess the visit to the optomoetrist could wait.
For more than 5 years that I had my eyeglasses, not half of the time I am wearing it. I only remember to wear it when I felt strained eyes which is supposed to be not. The doctor said I should wear it everyday so that my eyes won’t strain but I found wearing it so uncomfortable. Ace suggested on wearing a contact lens instead but I am afraid of contact lenses. I felt it will break in my eyes which I know won’t happen. I heard there’s a new technology in eye laser called Lasik (laser in-situ keratomileusis). The procedure uses laser to correct the curvature of the cornea thus improving the patient’s vision. If I would choose between LASIK and other procedure, I would prefer the former for it was said the probability of getting complications caused by the surgery is very low. That if, I would need to undergo procedure to correct my vision. I hope not…I’m crossing my fingers.
