Some employees and even students have Monday sickness and I do have that more than a couple of times when I was still in the rat race. It was really so tempting not to report to work on Mondays after a long weekend that sometimes I would drag my feet to work especially if it’s attendance cut-off because I couldn’t delay timekeeping. In fairness, I am not the only one inflicted with that Monday sickness virus in the company. M-A-N-Y of us does so I could not say I am the only absentee employee. I just don’t go to work if I don’t wanna see Rene Dizor’s face in my cubicle.
Ace, on the other hand, has Monday sickness. I am talking of real SICKNESS now. He woke me up earlier telling me he’ll not go to work. I thought he’ll be fine after a day’s rest yesterday with all my pampering. He still has slight fever and need another day of rest. I hope he’ll be ok tomorrow so he can go to work. How will his superiors react then? He was on vacation leave the other week that was extended for a one day sick leave after we arrived home and now he’s on sick leave again. Anyway, his officemates already knew that he has fever because he still went to work last Saturday though his temperature is above the normal range. He has no choice last Saturday but to go to work so now he truly deserve that SICK LEAVE.
