Hooray!!!

We are moving

I have already posted in my other blogs that WE ARE MOVING. I am exceptionally happy about it. Yesterday, I and my sisters and BIL checked on the apartment unit and this afternoon, PILs got to see the place for themselves so they can decide whether they will be moving with us or not. Ace got off from work early tonight so he could also see the unit..for his final say. Upon checking on the place - from front to back, from room to room - he did finally say WE WILL BE MOVING. He was even more excited than me. So over dinner, we were discussing what to bring and where to place the furnitures and appliances. Since I will be incharge in packing our things. Ace is somewhat worried if I can manage to do it considering that my back easily hurts. (more…)

TV stand

Just a quick update about what’s going on here….the Dagandan angels (Mamang and Daddy’s treasures) are complete here and we kept on going out if we could. Just bonding at the mall, dining out, or going to ukay-ukay stalls. Yesterday, we pack ourselves in a taxi and went to check the apartment that we will be renting. Yes, we are finally moving…Ace has made his decision and it’s final (according to him). On that new place, I am thinking of not using the improvised computer table that we used here as a TV rack. I wanted something sleek and just functional as a TV stand to save space. (more…)

New Year away from home

My sisters, BIL and Ella arrived from our hometown yesterday. They went home on the 31st to celebrate New Year with our relatives in Kabacan while I was left here to celebrate New Year with Ace and his family. So I missed lechon (roasted whole pig) this new year…for the first time in my life. It has been our tradition to have whole lechon every New Year. I hope next year Ace’ employer will declare no work before and after the New Year or I’ll let Ace take a leave so we could go home. Since I’m used in celebrating New Year with lots of food, lots of fun, lots of fireworks and firecrackers, lots of people (because our clan is so big), I find New Year celebration here quite boring with no fireworks, with just a handful members of Ace’ family, with no videoke and dancing sessions and no LECHON. However, though New Year’s eve and New Year’s day celebrations here are totally different from my hometown, I just find myself enjoying the moment a bit. (more…)
