When I visited a friend’s blog, her latest post was a photo of “Kamachile”. Then I remember my childhood days when we “hunt” Kamachile fruits in the vacant lot in front of our yard in my hometown. I know that fruit is not that delicious but it thrills us when we see ripe (the colored red) fruits hanging by the branches. Another thing that thrills me when I was still a child is what we call “sarisa” or aratiles in Tagalog, Cherry Tree in English (Muntingua calabura). I couldn’t contain my joy everytime I could see Aratiles tree with fruits waiting to be harvested. I just keep on collecting the fruits and don’t eat that much. I am just fascinated by its colors.*LoL*.
Oh, I forgot. There’s another thing that kept me coming back to the house of my grandparent’s neighbor before. They have Blackberry plants in their front yard that we (the children) got to enjoy harvesting the ripe fruits, roll it in our palms and eat. Yummy! When I checked on google for an image, all I could see are the blackberries in other parts of the world.*pout*. But anyway, if you’re familiar with this fruit, I’m sure you have your story to tell about that fruit…that childhood adventure you had hunting for either camachile, aratiles, or blackberry fruits.
