I am about to say that the past few days pass by just an ordinary day but I remember I’ve read it somewhere that no such day as ORDINARY day. Everyday is special in one way or another. Anyway, last Monday was Araw ng Dabaw. There’s a civic parade in the morning but we didn’t shoot as planned. Ace call the day off because he worked from Monday to Sunday BUT his superiors kept on texting them (his fellow officemates who took a leave on that day) to report or else he will email their manager. Ace wasn’t even startled. But he did his work in my PC the whole morning…grrr. Then he emailed his report afterwards (that’s what he’s doing when on leave, he works at home). So, we missed the civic parade and watched it in TV instead. In the afternoon, we went to People’s Park to check what’s going on there. The drum and bugle competition showdown is being held so the place was packed with people. Ace managed to go up the stage and shoot while I waited for him at the back stage. Many have been trying to stretch their necks to have a glimpse of the performances but sad to say, only the lucky ones who got to the front of the cordoned area could clearly see. And since I am not blessed with height, though I managed to be at the higher plane, I could only see the participant’s heads. After the shoot, we went to Gaisano mall to withdraw from the ATM and did some grocery shopping. We’re supposed to have dinner there but the mall closed just after we finished paying at the counter. I was thinking we could drop by somewhere to have dinner but Ace chose to go home because the poor bagger boy packed all the groceries in one big plastic bag. Just imagine how heavy it is for Ace to carry it alone. That’s one thing I don’t like shopping at the mall. They pack all things in one bag and fill it as much as the bag won’t break not even thinking if the customer could carry it. I could also blame Ace for that because he didn’t request to pack the items in two to three bags so I could also help him. I don’t know, he must be preoccupied with something that he didn’t notice the bagger in front of him stocking all the stuffs in a big plastic bag. He can’t complain anymore because it’s done. At home, when I was unloading the groceries, I noticed the receipt. It’s now itemized…I mean, the brandnames or product description is already printed. I don’t know since when they have changed their POS and receipt printer. Maybe a year ago but I just don’t noticed it. I’m used to their receipt with only a gerenal name of the merchandise such as “candy, biscuit, so on and so fort. Just imagine the pain of going over that receipt if you wanted to check that all they have punched in are correct. Now it’s easier with the right product appearing in the receipt. At last, they have improved….after so long.
