Our first electric bill reached almost a thousand pesos. The difference between our’s and our neighbor’s bill is only almost 500 pesos when they have an A/C unit that they’ve been using every night and at noon, their 2 electric fans are turned on most of the time every single day, they leave the light outside their unit and inside their room on for the whole night. I think that’s the only difference on how we consume electricity but I cannot imagine with how come the difference between our bills is not that big considering that they are using an A/C every night. So I was thinking there must be something wrong with one of our appliances that it consumes huge amount of power.
I am suspecting that the ref is the culprit and so are our neighbors (that’s why they bought a new fridge when they moved because their old ref has been consuming so much power). As they say, as the fridge is getting older, its consumption on electricity gets bigger so I am convincing Ace that we’ll budget for a new fridge (so we could return the old one that we have here to PILs) to save from paying huge amount for our power consumption. However, we are also observing some measures on saving our consumption by changing the light bulbs to ESLs…not Sylvania light bulbs (as I may want it) because Sylvanias don’t have lower wattage compared to other brands. So we settled to local brands that have lower wattage compared to others.
