Wheels

Wednesday, May 13th, 2009

I thought Ace already forgot about his desire of getting a motorcycle or the even bigger dream…a car! I was really firm in saying NO to him but he got some affirmation from my cousins and even our friends that he should get a motorcycle. Getting a car was my option just to stop him from bugging me to allow him get a motorcycle but the big question is WHEN? With our financial status, we cannot afford it but he is really eager (as if it is really a NEED for him or he just wanted to satisfy his dream…every guy’s dream…to have “wheels”). Who wouldn’t be tired of  hearing that “wheels” thing almost EVERYDAY and even talked about it with our friends (showing his 100% interest) especially if he hears something is for sale (as if he has the money to buy) when he don’t even have savings to pay for the necessary auto insurance, much more in paying for a car. I don’t know when can he get over that “wheels” thing. I hope soon as I am tired of hearing that thing unless he will make a way to earn more so he could buy his dream “wheels”.

Not feeling well

Whew! Just finished a 1-hour training and I can’t recall the details of what we have tackled. As if I am floating since I am not really feeling well with my allergic-cough and headache. I felt like I am going to have a fever because of the muscle pains that I am feeling right now. Daddy is also suffering from muscle pains and cough so is Che2x just mentioned that she feels colds is coming. The virus is just roaming around the house then…like our neighbor who are all suffering from cough and colds. So I need to rest early but I have to finish some tasks so I could concentrate on my work tomorrow before the training in the evening.

Vain

I could say Ace is more vain than me. Maybe because he is a melancholic that is sooo particular with every detail especially on looks while I am a choleric who doesn’t even care how do I look and would even walk out of the door without looking at the mirror. I can fix myself with just a few strokes of the comb on my hair and a few seconds fixing my face while he is the opposite. He needs soooo much time in front of the mirror. His usual rationalization is…I don’t have to spend too much time fixing my face because I have a problem-free skin. So the skin is really a problem? I don’t think so. It’s already in his system to be so vain because even with his short hair, he spends more than a couple of minutes combing it. I can’t get it why that short hair needs to be combed so many times when I am good to go with a few strokes.

With fragrances, I can live without it. I only buy cologne when I want to but I don’t consider it as a necessity. Even when I was working, I can go to work without spraying cologne or perfume. I don’t feel the need to wear fragrances since I am taking a bath everyday!*lol* But that’s not possible with Ace. He needs perfume or just body spray E-V-E-R-Y S-I-N-G-L-E day. So yesterday he was sweet talking to me if he could buy a bottle of locally-made perfume. Who can say no to that “little” boy (as if asking if he can have a candy)? So we brought the empty container to the outlet (and we saved PhP50) and he got his fave scent.

Talking about fragrances, I bumped across an online fragrance store that sells almost all kinds of fragrances made in UK. like  Yes, UK…where the best perfumes are made like Calvin Klein perfume, and Bulgari perfume. They even sell aftershaves such as Hugo Boss aftershave. The latter will definitely be a nice match to Ace’ hugo boss’ perfume.

Ten Favorite Places to Shop

Tuesday, May 12th, 2009

We have only a handful of departments stores and malls here so I am limited to just a few choices.

My Ten Favorite Places to Shop are:

1. SM Supermarket - where I love grocery shopping

2. Homeworld (SM Department Store) - where I used to go for handbag shopping

3. JS Gaisano SouthMall - where I find nice shoes

4. Victoria Plaza Department Store - where we usually buy kitchen items

5. Robinson’s Handyman - where we get our home fixture supplies and dog food

6. Ukay-Ukay stalls along Lizada and Gempesaw Sts. - where we shop for our clothes. Yes, we usually buy used than the brand new at the dept. stores

7. 168 Mall in Divisoria - I was there once and I would really love to go back there!

8. Baclaran - like Divisoria, it’s super cheap there so I would love to go back there and shop ’till I drop

9. Barter Trade in Zamboanga and Cotabato Cities - I love the imported candies being sold there

10. anywhere I see an Ukay-Ukay (used clothings, bags, shoes, household items) stores :) )

Too tight

We were out last Saturday to do some errands and buy things that we need for the trip to the beach the following day.  As I was dressing up, I  hardly put on my pants and the worst is, I can’t zip it! I have to dig on the closet but I’ve got no luck. All my pants which I bought when I was still single are all TOO TIGHT…even my tops are all tight. Che2x even commented how unpleasant I look with all the bulges around my waist that is too obvious because of my tight tops so I have to dig again for a not too tight tops. Daddy was telling me I grew “wide” and I need to buy clothes so I won’t be putting on those clothes that I don’t feel comfortable wearing anymore. It’s only a few months ago when I bought some tops and now they all seem like a body hugger. Since I am not planning to take weight loss pills, then the only option I have is to engage in physical activities to prevent fats from accumulating in my body.
