One of our godfather during our wedding is based somewhere in South Cotabato while his family are living here in Davao. So he only get to be with the kids and his wife on weekends. For me, that’s not enough. But since it is a call of duty, they have no choice. He mentioned about planning to find a jod here in Davao so he could be with his family 24/7 but was in doubt if he could still land a job due to his age. I told him the trend in hiring for male, isn’t too particular with the age. Based on experience, seasoned male applicants gets a job easier than a female applicant. For the males, the older you get, the higher is the probability that you’ll be hired for a supervisory or managerial position while it isn’t true with females. Anyway, to help Ninong Sammy with his job hunting, I was looking for engineering jobs online but most that I bumped into are finance jobs as most Engineering jobs will be for overseas. But then I hope it will not take long and could still find a job here to be with his wife and the growing kids.
It’s almost 1AM and I am still working on my pending tasks. Have a few more to go but I am too sleepy already. Aside from that, my tummy is now asking for fuel. I did eat a lot at dinner then we ate some mangoes when we got home but I am feeling hungry now. I wanted to eat but I am afraid I might not be able to doze off immediately later on so I am munching on some salted peanuts that we bought the other night. This kind of food is my loyal companion when I was still in school. It keeps me awake in the middle of the night until the wee hours in the morning so I hope this would also work as my stimulant now that I need more time to be up to finish some tasks.
