Bonus time!

Saturday, November 7th, 2009
Ace’ LCD TV that he got from his bonus will turn one year old next month. So December is less than a month from now and Ace is surely excited because it’s the time of releasing of performance bonuses. This year, I don’t know what he’ll buy from his bonus as I don’t hear him plan about it yet. With me, I am already dropping a hint that I wanted either a sofa set and a dining set. In a few months we will turn 1 year in this apartment and we haven’t got our own sofa/sala and dining sets. I think the appliances could wait but not the sala and dining sets so we could comfortably sit while watching TV and comfortably eat in a new dining set. These will be in preparation for the coming holidays and Ace’ birthday early next year for I am planning to throw a small party. Shhh….don’t tell him about the party. Just tell him about my wishlist - a sofa or sala set and a dining set.*wink*If he can’t get both, then maybe I could pitch in my bonus so we could get my (and I am sure it’s also his’) wishlist.

Plan on having a new baby

Friday, November 6th, 2009

After more than a year of bringing along our DSLR with me (if I go out without Ace) or with us (me and Ace), we felt the need to have a compact digital camera. It’s not really easy bringing our photography gears especially if I go out alone because it is so heavy! Well, for me it is really heavy…with the extra lens and external flash, it’s like I am carrying a baby with me all-the-time. Besides, Ace wanted to prolong the life of our DSLR so he wants a compact digicam to be used for ordinary shooting. Going over the digital cameras out in the market, I have 2 brands in mind….Canon and Panasonic and I am torn between the two! Hope I could make up my mind and will be able to have another new baby. Yay!

Jobs database

Tuesday, November 3rd, 2009

Unemployment rate is rising. Thanks goodness that I am not one of the millions who are now desperately looking for a job. Supposing I am jobless today, I doubt if I’m gonna search for one especially day job in the office because I wanted to stay at home! I will still prefer an online job because I’ve got enough being a corporate slave for almost 5 years. I could say it’s really different having a regular day job in the office compared to having an online job. There’s actually jobs database online like jobs philadelphia where one can find or search jobs suited for him/her.

Health travel

Monday, November 2nd, 2009

With the risky transfer from hospital to the airport, to the plane and deplaning in our destination, to the travel from the airport to our hometown, I could say it is not easy to travel with a patient…especially if it’s bedridden and fighting between life and death. It is the worst scenerio ever in my entire life that I could clearly recall every detail as if it just happened yesterday.

Anyway, many are travelling from our country to seek medical help to more advanced countries. Others call it health travel as the main purpose of that travel is for medical checkup, treatment, or operation. Medical tourism just great in providing convenience to the people who come from other places for them to feel comfortable during the hospitalization process.

The current is better…benefits-wise

Sunday, November 1st, 2009
If I were to compare the basic salary between Ace’ former employer with the current, I could say the former is better…salary-wise. His entry-level rate with the competitor 6 years ago is almost the same as his entry level rate more than a year ago. I could tell the big difference. However, benefits-wise, the current is better though both companies have medical assistance program for the employees and their dependents aside from the government mandated health insurance - PhilHealth. Aside from that, there are other monetary and non-monetary benefits that the company is giving out to compensate with the lower rate that they are giving to their employees.
