I had a meet-up with a friend last week for her wedding concerns. She then asked for a suggestion for unique gifts for her mom and the groom-to-be’s mom. I’ve no idea what’s the fad now but what I know (during my time) is a nice brooch or a piece of jewelry. After the meet-up, we went to NBS because I’m supposed to buy a magazine. the couple did their shopping there and what they got was a planner (I guess) for their moms. Sounds good if both the mothers need it or actually need a planner for their daily activities. Well, whatever it is, I am sure the mothers will be happy to receive token of gratitude from their son and daughter.
I am on the process of making a list of all our payables for the year vs. our targetted income so we would know how much are we going to spend for other things. Utility bills and apartment rental eat a quarter of our combined income and sometimes I despise those because whether we like it or not, we need to pay for it or else we won’t be experiencing the comfort that we have now. Oh well, life of a worker…we work to pay our bills!LOL.
Back to the budget, there’s a need for some revision in our budget.LOL. We also need to make changes on our priorities but still, life insurance is not in the list. I can’t still convince myself that we need that (though I know it should be) but not for now. The focus is the present and not the future (that’s our paradigm!) so let’s wait until we change our beliefs and priorities.
It’s president’s day in the US, right? Yahooo!!!! It’s holiday which means no work…err, I have load to do though schools are on holiday today. Anyway, I just knew that today is holiday because I saw a photo of an elliptical with a note “PRESIDENT’s DAY SALE!”. It’s a sweet deal, I suppose but getting it from US is next to impossible unless we move there or it’s free shipping to the Philippines. It must have been great to shop today to take advantage of the sale but I don’t have enough shopping budget this time. My next shopping plan will be on Black friday sale so that’s a longggg wait! I must saved enough for shopping by then.
