It’s late night and I am hungry. How come? I was really full after our late dinner of steamed fish and vegetables. To complete the meal, Ace ordered buko pandan for his dessert that we shared - mine are the fruit cocktail in the salad and the buko is his share. After just 3 hours, I am already hungry. But I don’t usually eat during late night so I just forget about it and sleep. I know eating at almost bedtime will result to a bigger me that would probbaly need a diet pill that works just to get rid of the flabs. Hence, I don’t usually give in to what my tummy tells me especially if it’s almost my sleeping time. That’s mind over matter.
Getting an afternoon nap is really a must for me since I usually sleep close to or beyond midnight then gets up early because Ace has to leave for work. I could actually sleep until I want to and Ace could go to work without bothering me but I feel I’d be a bad wife if I wouldn’t help him prepare for work. Hence, I force myself to get up and cut short my sleep hoping I could go back to bed right after he leaves for work but I end up doing chores and the laundry then spend more than a couple of hours working.
An hour after lunch is my nap schedule. I had to pull down and shut off the window blinds and turn the a/c on for an hour or two of deep slumber. I want the room to be dark during my nap that’s why we got vinyl blinds in mocha that has the color of wood blinds. That’s how important for me to simulate evening during my afternoon naps to “cheat” my body that it is night time. Thus it feels like evening when I sleep and I feel a lot recharged when I wake up. Haven’t done that? Try it yourself and you’ll feel really good.
I am seeing myself in one of my aunt’s built right now. We’re definitely petite but she is thrice as big as me. Wohooo! Daddy said my aunt have really gained weight and I can’t imagine myself being as big as my aunt in the next few years. I believe bone mass has something to do with how big you will be. And another friend once mentioned you will have a picture of how you will gain weight after you give birth thru your Mom. Since Mamang didn’t ballooned after giving birth to the three of us, the possibility of turning to a “drum-like” body is so slim. My built (bones) are small so I might not be like my aunt when I age.
People who are wishing to be thin should look at their moms and their bones. If you have a fat Mom, then you have the slightest possibility of being thin much more if you have big bones. Regardless if you take all the weight loss pills that you can get, you could never be thin because your bones alone are already big. Hence, stop dreaming to be thin.
