It’s a long time plan to buy a lampshade for our room but until now we haven’t bought one. Some are too costly that Ace said I could make one because I am creative enough and he’ll set-up the bulb and wirings. So I am not aiming to buy a lampshade anymore. I’ll try to scout for nice materials in the hardware or in craft stores instead. Anyway, I was amazed at this lampshade made of glass beads we saw in the Christmas Bazaar the other weekend. So nice, yet pricey. Just imagine the effort it took for the people to gather all the Red and White beads to form it to lampshade. If I would make like this one, it will take me forever to finish it, for sure.
Today is a remarkable day to all Filipinos. The whole nation seemed to stop to watch the dream boxing fight between our very own Manny Pacquiao and Oscar dela Hoya. Before noon, Ace was uneasy and couldn’t wait for the telecast of the most awaited fight to start. He wanted to know who won right then and there. Hence, he YMed his former classmates who are based in US to ask who won the fight. Sadly, his friend didn’t subscribed for a pay per view so she don’t know who won. Another friend told him that Manny won on the 8th round. Ace was even eager to see watch the game immediately. Then Ace got a site from another friend where to watch the live video streaming. But when finally opened the site, the game was over. So we don’t have a choice but to wait for the game to be aired on TV. Too bad that GMA network covered the game and as usual, telecast is delayed for more than a couple of hours not to mention the tons of advertisements in between.
Anyway, days before the fight, I was following updates through the news and feed it to Ace who miss watching the daily news. At one instance, Manny wore a tuxedo and I was like “why?” Why he didn’t wear Barong Tagalog? Hmmm….he must be fond of tuxedos but I wanted to see him in Barong.
He looks good in his tuxedo though. But that minute issue within me was forgotten when he won the fight. ‘Twas such a good fight but I would love it more to see super punches from Manny. Congratulations, MANNY!

Happy Monday! It’s supposed to be non-working day to commemorate Bonifacio Day which was originally yesterday. But Ace need to report to work. I woke up at half past six and prepared for breakfast and Ace’ packed lunch. But since he needs to be at the office early, he said I don’t have to hurry as I cannot make it by the time he leaves. So he will try to be home for lunch. Instead of cooking for the viand, I set it aside and will cook it later. I boiled the young corns I bought in the market last night for my breakfast. Che2x can eat the leftover from last night if she wants to eat rice. We had adobong kangkong (water spinach cooked in soy sauce and a little bit of vinegar) last night. It’s the fresh kangkong (water spinach) we bought from Bankerohan.
After Ace left, I began working in my blogs as I am fixing something in my Life’s Lessons. I am not done yet but I’m already sleepy. For days I haven’t slept well. I usually go to bed past midnight and wake up early to prepare for Ace’ packed lunch. He used to eat at their canteen but he likes my dishes much more than anything else so I have to wake up early. That’s my not-so demanding husband. He can eat better when I am cooking so Che2x is now free from preparing dinner since she cooks sometimes. She only needs to cook rice. Oh, well…the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach, as they say. And that should be for a lifetime. So better yet do my wifey role of cooking for my hubby than him eating other’s dishes. Besides, it is more fulfilling to hear him say “thank you, busog na busog ako..sarap ng luto mo” (i am so full, it’s delicious) pointing at his tummy. Anyway, have to get some rest as my head is beginning to spin and will continue looking for english saddles after a short nap.
