Toys

Sunday, November 30th, 2008

We were at Gaisano Mall of Davao yesterday evening without anything to buy in mind except for grocery shopping. We just went window shopping, hopping from one shoe store to another until we got tired. After the shoe store hopping, we went to our so-called toy store just to check if they have something new. I am not talking of the literal toys here but I was talking of the toys for big boys and girls who’s heart…and wallet is into photography.*LoL*. Luckily, Ace got hold of the Canon EF 500mm f/1.4 and was shocked to know the price of that little lens. Anyway, we can’t afford to have additional lens for our toy - Canon 400D as of now. So we’re just contented that we have got our hands to one of the Canon’s prime lenses.

Talking of toys, I posted something that I wish to get for Ella. The little girl said she likes it or if I can’t get it, she wanted to have a toy laptop instead. She was asking for a laptop way back and when I chance to check at Toy Kingdom in SM city last month, it costs almost $100. Yay! That’s too expensive. Tita is not earning that much lately so I cannot buy it. I was searching for nice toys online and I found one like Carrot - Ella’s doll. It looks beautiful and far more cheaper than the laptop. How I wish that online store has local branch so it won’t cost me much for the shipping and handling in case I would push thru on getting a doll for the little girl.

Today’s Flower: Nameless violet

Photobucket

This is one of the many flowers found in Crocodile Park in Davao City. I have seen a lot like this but too bad that I wasn’t able to know it’s name. Hope somebody could help me name this beautiful violet flower.

Friendster addict

After so long, we’re able to go to Bankerohan Public Market early tonight. Though we had our grocery shopping last night, we only got meat, canned goods and other supplies but we skip getting veggies. Prices in the mall’s supermarket almost or more than double the price than in the market. One thing more, farm produce in the public market is more fresh than the ones being sold at the supermarket. So for veggies and spices, we usually get it in the market or in the store nearby. The fridge is almost full of fresh vegetables so we will be eating veggies everyday until we consume all the supplies.

By the way, Che2x was supposed to go with us but she was nailed at her seat in front of the PC updating her friendster account. Again! This girl spends most of her time in the internet doing unproductive things like friendster. She’s not getting tired of logging in her account everytime she has the chance to use the internet and that is EVERYDAY. So earlier, she’s got all the time while we were at the market and when we arrived, she’s not yet done with it. I just don’t know if she was able to do other things or open other sites while we’re not around. We could check it though through the browsing history but it’s not detailed like a keylogger. Keylogger is designed with the kids in mind so parents would know and control the internet browsing activity of their kids but it could also be good to have one even if there’s no kid at home.

Camera Critters: Parrot @ Davao Crocodile Park

Camera Critters

Here’s one of the many multi-colored Parrots in Davao Crocodile Park. You may wonder why there’s Parrot in the Crocodile Park. The park once started as a crocodile farm and lately added some animals ‘coz it might be boring if only crocodiles can be seen in the park.

Shipping boxes

At last, my sister Carol received the shipping boxes sent by Mama Ingrid. It took almost three months (i guess) to get there in the province from the US. It takes that long for a package to get here? But anyway, it was worth the wait. If you may read Carol’s post about the items inside the shipping boxes, you will surely get elated. Should Mama Ingrid’s house will fit in the shipping boxes, she will surely send it here!*LoL*.

On the other hand, I have plans of getting VS products from abroad and sell it here. I know many are going crazy over Victoria Secret’s body mist and other skin care products around here so it must be a good business to start. Hence, I was so happy when Ace told me not to withdraw my previous blogging earnings so I could enjoy it for myself. My first thought is checking the company’s online store but when I am ready to purchase the products, I was dismayed that it cannot be shipped here in the Philippines. I wanted to pursue that business plan so I told Carol maybe she can ask Mama Ingrid a favor. I will buy the products online, be it delivered at Mama Ingrid’s mailing address and then she will send it here. I hope it could be possible as Carol said Mama Ingrid will still send items including the “twin” of Ella’s toy named Teddy. If that would be the case, the VS products will be packed in the shipping box including some stuff for Carol, Donald and Ella.
